Career Opportunities at A Holding Place

Established in 2011, A Holding Place helps people to learn about themselves and their experiences, while providing guidance, compassion, and strategies for working towards mental health and resilience.

Our practice of highly-skilled therapists has grown to meet the needs of the community and offers counselling and mental health support to individuals, couples, and families at its centralized St. John’s location, or online throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.

A Holding Place is open to meeting with highly-motivated, professional psychologists, social workers, counsellors and psychotherapists with a passion for developing strong, trusting relationships with clients to join our successful, supportive, and inclusive practice in St. John’s.

A Holding Place looks for clinicians with a masters level degree in a mental health related discipline and at least three years clinical experience. Clinicians should be registered or eligible to be registered as a psychologist, social worker, certified counsellor, or clinical counsellor.
