Samantha has a BSW and MSW from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. She is currently working on her PhD in Social Work from Memorial University.

Samantha has been practicing as a social worker for over 9 years in numerous capacities. She has experience providing individual counselling, family counselling, group counselling and play therapy to children, youth, and adults. Samantha has also developed and facilitated psychoeducational groups as well as mutual-aid support groups.

Samantha practices from a person-centered perspective and utilizes solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, and sand-tray therapy. Samantha has training in brief focused counselling, and sand-tray therapy. She believes in a strengths-based approach to underpin her therapeutic modalities.
