Karen has worked with individuals and families experiencing a wide variety of issues including (but not limited to) aging-related issues, dementia, stress, self-esteem issues, grief/loss, life transitions, abuse, and adjusting to life changes as a result of a physical or cognitive disability.

She has completed training in the areas of assessment, trauma informed practice, emotional regulation and attachment.  She has facilitated training for individuals supporting children impacted by developmental trauma.  Karen practices from a trauma informed, strengths based approach and uses a variety of therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioural, solution focused and mindfulness techniques.

Karen is client centered and works with individuals to build upon their current strengths and successes and recognize their own resilience.
