Emily has a range of experiences working with children, youth, and young adults. Her areas of interest within this population include anxiety, AD/HD, depression, emotional regulation, OCD, and self-esteem and/or self-worth.

She has work experience as an applied behavioural analysis home therapist, a K-12 teacher within the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District, and a researcher in the fields of early childhood education, childcare programs in Newfoundland, mental health and social emotional learning among young children, and inclusion practices in the school system. She continues to practice research with local organizations and Memorial University of Newfoundland. She also has experience with performing psychological assessments and continues to complete work in this area.

Emily uses client centered therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, and solutions focused therapy when working with clients. She is currently continuing her education in play therapy for children.
